Privacy Statement and Data Protection

The Prospherus Scientific Journal establishes a strict institutional commitment to the security, confidentiality, and protection of the personal data provided by authors, reviewers, editors, and users. The processing of information collected on the OJS platform is governed by principles of necessity, transparency, and compliance with international regulations.

Purpose of Processing

The collection of metadata (names, institutional affiliations, ORCID records, and email addresses) is restricted to the scope of editorial management. It is intended for submission communication, peer review, and indexing in global repositories (Crossref, Dialnet, Latindex) for proper scientific attribution.

Restriction and Non-Disclosure

Personal data collected will not be transferred, sold, or disclosed to third parties outside the journal's regulated scientific activity. The editorial board and the external reviewer committee assume a binding obligation of confidentiality regarding the manuscripts and data assigned to them.

Rights of Data Subjects

In accordance with global data protection regulations, the platform guarantees the full exercise of the rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and objection regarding registered data. Users retain the legal right to:

  • Access and Review: Verify the status and accuracy of the personal data stored in the OJS system.
  • Rectification: Correct, update, or complete institutional affiliations or other scientific identifiers at any stage of the workflow.
  • Cancellation and Erasure: Request the deletion of records from the database once they are no longer required for the editorial purposes of the publication.
  • Objection: Legitimately deny or revoke the secondary processing of their contact information.

Requests to exercise these rights are formally handled through direct notification to the technical and official correspondence channels listed on the journal's institutional portal.
