Digital Preservation Policy

The Prospherus Journal is committed to the long-term digital preservation and perpetual access to its intellectual content. To guarantee the integrity of our archives, we have implemented an active preservation strategy that includes:

  • Internal Backups: We maintain daily backups of the entire database and journal files. These backups are stored on secure, geographically redundant servers, independent of our main web server, ensuring recovery in the event of any system failure.
  • Archiving in External Repositories (OAI-PMH Harvesting): We ensure the active harvesting of all our articles and metadata by trusted databases and repositories (such as Dialnet, Latindex, and Google Scholar) through our OAI-PMH protocol. This strategy creates multiple copies of our content on recognized academic platforms.
  • Active Deposit and Redundancy: The Prospherus editorial team is responsible for actively depositing published articles in digital libraries and open access institutional repositories. This redundancy strategy ensures that multiple copies of the content exist on different servers, guaranteeing its long-term preservation.
