Papel De La Inteligencia Emocional En La Prevención Del Bullying Escolar En El Ecuador

Este estudio investigó la relación entre la inteligencia emocional (IE) de los docentes y la prevención del bullying en instituciones educativas de Ecuador. Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo correlacional, utilizando la Escala de Percepción del Bullying y un cuestionario de IE basado en el modelo Mixte Asertive Empathy, aplicado a docentes de físico-química y ciencias naturales de un colegio en Ibarra. Los resultados revelaron una correlación positiva significativa entre la IE de los docentes y su percepción de eficacia en la prevención del bullying, destacando la empatía y las habilidades sociales como predictores claves. Sin embargo, se identificó una subestimación del bullying por parte de los docentes. Se concluye que fortalecer la IE de los docentes es crucial para crear ambientes escolares seguros. Se recomienda implementar programas de formación en IE para docentes y estrategias de sensibilización sobre el bullying que involucren a toda la comunidad educativa. Investigaciones futuras deben explorar otros factores y usar metodologías mixtas para una comprensión más completa del fenómeno.
